I became a democrat after being drafted and spending time in the infantry. No nuts? Get some.
Actually, being "Pittsburgher", democrat came with the turf. My dad was a union man as were both my grandfathers I was a union man too when I was a steelworker after being discharged. Unlike a lot of "liberals", I don't apologize or get nervous when somebody calls me that. I don't hide behind the flag or the Bible (after 5 draft deferments) and question somebody else's credentials or patriotism or intelligence. It's who I am and I'm still "cool".
