I guess knorr. My interpretation of the rules makes me think they do have some leeway to call it an out.
How can you possibly interpret it any other way? If an infielder travels more distance than he would to catch any possible flyball within the true infield (i.e. not on the outfield grass or outside the foul lines) to get a fly that reaches the outfield, how can you call that a display of "ordinary effort"?
