could you try to watch at a bar and drive home later than you were planning?  Or try to set up DVR and turn off all electronics/phones/etc. once the game starts and go straight to the TV when you get home?

Get MLB At Bat on your phone and LISTEN to Charlie and Dave (it's only 4.99 for the postseason)!! - get headphones, plug in one of them and drive, drive, drive!!
Don't have a smart phone or a DVR - I'll see what I can do.

Consider both our away games are now day games, I am growing fearful MLB will make all of our games afternoon ones.

That would be a very tough card to accept as a franchise wanting national attention.

Very disappointing.  :(  I love day games, absolutely, but sure makes it difficult to get to them!

I am flying in Tuesday through Friday so game time doesn't affect me, I just prefer night games for sake of national exposure.

Not a problem about attention.   All of our championship series and world series games will be prime time! :D
Plus, I"d rather take a couple hours off work at the end of the day or even miss two innings then have a game start at 8:37pm!   I have to be AT work by 6:30am and games ending at 12:30am, which they routinely do in the playoffs, does not sound like fun .  At the game or on TV.

I think the best national exposure during the last 2-3 innings of a great game.   SOme of those 4:30pm starts get great national exposure during a great finish as people are getting ready to turn on the late game.    If they aren't dedicated to one of the teams, they have shut the game off by 11:30pm (or if they are huge mlb fan in general) and miss the drama anyway.

This sucks. I'm gonna miss the Cards-Braves game today while driving to Dallas to look for a new apartment, and I'm gonna miss Nats Game 1 while driving back. Rooting for a team since April 2005 only to miss its first-ever playoff game. :(

ESPN Radio carries all the games.  If there's a sports radio station you can pick up, you might have a good shot of getting the games.  Check here for a list of affilliates:  http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/story?id=6197767

I'm really hoping it's at 4:00 tomorrow.  Skins and then Nats back to back!

If it's at 1:00, the Nats will have my attention, but I'll have two TV's going strong.

Looks like you'll get the first 1/2 of the 'skins clear, switchin' for 1/2 (4 innings) and then be clear on the Nats.   Sounds like a plan  ...

Yeah, it's not bad.  I'm a huge Skins fan, but playoffs are playoffs.  Here's RG3 TDs between pitches!

Sirius has an app for smartphones.  If you have decent data available you could stream the game on your phone.  Plus I think they give away free trials!

Hopefully FM-106.7 will carry all the Nats matches - AM-980 (ESPN Radio in this area) has too many football commitments (NFL, Maryland, Virginia Tech etc) and too many of the matches will be seconded to low-power AM-570; also if the Orioles go through tonight anything else could get bumped down.

Not nearly as bad if they do a 4pm start, Sun should be off the field by 5pm this time of the year

UPDATING: Rang the station just now and the person who answered said he wasn't sure but he thinks they will be carrying all the Nats matches.

Radio affilliates typically carry postseason games, so I hope they would.

Late afternoon, 4:00pm, would be great!

Can pickup the kids after school and go.

1:00pm would suck!!!   I will be out a LOT of money.

i understand it's the yankees, but still holding out hope we get the 7pm start on wednesday.  you have to give DC some kinda bone with them hosting their first playoff game in so long.

16.00 would be nice for me as well since my normal work hours are 06.45-15.15 and my workplace is just five Metro stations from the ballpark.

It will probably be 8.5 pm.

Who needs sleep? Ugh... thank goodness the Metro is open. (this is my inner 80-year-old speaking)
