FGCU lost to VCU by 23, Duke by 21 and Iowa State by 11.

FGCU definitely had good athletes but if you judge a team's athleticism by a few fast break dunks you're an idiot. A lot of teams have players that can do as much. To say FGCU was the most athletic team in the field was asinine. To state that Florida is average at best is moronic. Watching the tournament it's easy to find many teams that had better athletes than FGCU. FGCU could not match Florida's defensive quickness and pressure. The SEC has superior athletes that FGCU could not match.

They fired Howland for losing in the first round then hired a coach who had a team surrounded by a ton of hype and a high seed and proceeded to lose to Harvard in the first round.
