How does Marvin Hudson get a playoff assignment? He's the worst umpire I've seen this season, especially at first where he appears to just guess on close plays (and some not so close plays) and usually guesses wrong. He's not much better behind homeplate.
Is he good otherwise and just terrible in Nationals games?
He's blown other big calls too, so I have no idea how he got a playoff assigment. Hopefully the rotation will work out so that he doesn't get a turn at first base, which is where he seems to blow the most calls. MLB might as well just stick Bob Davidson, Alan Porter, CB Bucknor and Laz Diaz on the crew as well
