What was our opening day line-up and roster
« Topic Start: October 03, 2012, 01:16:13 PM »
With this great season, its fun to look back and see where we started in April.    Does anyone easily have their scorebook for the opening day lineup and anyone know the opening day active roster?

Shark started in center and Carroll came in as a pinch runner late in the game.

Some guy named Strasburg pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and a run.

DeRosa was the mystery LF, per the link.

Looking back, I'm shocked DeRosa went 0 - 4.  He was really swinging the bat well in spring training.

desmond leading off, Espinosa second . . . thankfully, that got straightened out.

X-Nady 6th!  Ramos healthy?

and Bernie instead of Harper.

Thank goodness we started the year with hot pitching while the offense figured things out.

We've had worse starting lineups haven't we? I mean that 2-4 isn't too bad. Guzman had his eyes repaired and Nick Johnson still got on base, but he wasn't the same as his early self. Flores was actually hitting then too. Belly was hitting somewhat decent. Kearns and Milledge were the worse out of the lineup.

Ugh. That's so ugly. :spaz:

Jorge Padilla.

2009 was the year we saw 5 different starting catchers.

I challenge you to find a worse lineup then this:

Felipe Lopez - 2B
Cristian Guzman - SS
Ryan Zimmerman - 3B
Ryan Church - LF
Austin Kearns - RF
Ronnie Belliard - 1B
Brian Schneider - C
Nook Logan - CF
Jason Simontacchi - P

Again, that's not completely terrible. We've had way worse lineups.

This is just disgusting.

This might be the worst lineup. Wow. I'd forgotten Luke Montz.

Yeah, that lineup is top ten worst all time.  In baseball history, that is.

You're right, OC wins at this.  Jesus H. Flores - Pete Orr in LF?!?!?!?!?
