This game is not on Davey though. He freaked up several times in that 10-9 game. Tonight's blame falls squarely on Edwin Jackson.

Yep  ...   batting practice

How does this happen to a team that is fighting for a division title?  I thought we got Jackson for his big game ability?  Up in smoke.
I don't get it either. I expect play like this from a team playing out the string but from a team 3 games away from clinching the division?? Edwin Jackson isn't worth a crap. I'd put Ross over him in the postseason rotation but then again Ross has been shaky a little bit too.

We are the coldest team heading into the NL playoffs.

Finally Davey!

Too little, too late.  This game was over in the first.

Speaking of that 10-9 loss (9 run blown lead), who here didn't think that one wouldn't come back to bite us.  That game could be the difference.

It's close. I know Livan Hernandez had some really bad ones but this one is the freshest so I'll go with a resounding YES!  :hang:

With the stakes as high as they are I think that would be a fair statement. And of course tomorrow he may be outdone by Jordan Zimmermann who has never beaten the Cardinals in 3 games started. Zimmermann is 0-2 with an 8.62 ERA vs St. Louis. They are going to light him up.

He sucked.  6 hits, 4 walks in 1.1 innings.  Some bad defense behind him too.

Yup, that game cost us 2 games in the standings. We'd have a 6 game lead.

Jackson had a stinker against Houston at Nats Park back in May. 5 runs in the first, I believe.

Homer Bailey no hitter through 8 innings :lmao:

And to think that the Braves get to beat up on the Pirates after they are done with the crappy Mets.

Jason Marquis had a really bad one, I remember.

Marquis had a game against the Brewers before he went on the DL where he didn't retire anybody before being removed.  The Brewers score 10 runs in the first inning.
