How's your 2012 Won-Loss Prediction Faring?
« Topic Start: September 25, 2012, 01:17:11 AM »
I got razzed here when I predicted 93 wins and a playoff berth this spring. We just hit 93! (I wanted to say 96, but I thought I'd never hear the end of it, if we only won half.)

I said 86, but I never put a loss total to it so in a way I was right. The Nats have won 86 games.

Over in Baseball Fever, there is a thread with pictures from the last game of the Expansion Senators. I went back to look, and saw that on March 28, I said , "I like this year's New New Nats pitching staff...better than any staff I can remember, and I remember back to 1952 or '53. It's been 79 years since the last pennant. I have a hunch..."

Do we impeach or will you gracefully resign your position as president of the SSS

If I were president, I would resign in disgrace.

I think I said  The Chief's over under of 85 was perfect, but then everything The Chief does is perfect.

I'm only on record for the vague 86+, but I was (mindfact) going to go with 90, an even +10 over last year and designed to  :poke: those who thought the headwinds would become stronger and winning +10 each season would inevitably prove impossible.  Which is true of course, but where the challenge climbs too strong is subject to debate.

I said 86 if I'm remembering correctly. I wanted to put more as well as I thought this team was much improved over last year's .500 team. I thought a 5-6 win improvement was being pretty damn conservative but this board's pessimism during Spring Training made me lower my expectations :-[

I can't recall if I made a specific prediction other than "under" (the 85-win mark)

Then who is President? Smithian is too young and he wasn't born here.

Smithian would have been my first choice but I was not aware that he did not meet the residency qualification. There are many other to choose from...JCA, wpa, calsgr8, Tyler Durden, welch, heeman, morse the horse, imref....I'm sure there are others. And how about aspen...

I think LastObjective compiled the list, and I then sorted it in order.  But I can't remember where to find it...
