Grab your sacs.  Turner is about to turn back into a pumpkin and a real pitcher will come in for us.

What's the point of September callups if you're going to let Zack Duke hit for himself? :hang:

Man, I thought we'd win this game for sure. Our ace vs their scrub rookie. Disappointing. The offense packed it in after Stras put them in a big early hole.

Buehrle vs Detwiler tomorrow, basically a toss-up. Tonight's game was the slam dunk win that should have been.

Game is over. I'd rather save the bullpen for tomorrow

Nothing's a better bet than a reverse lock.

If you think that you're lower than the Cubs bench coach.

Whatever. Even if I don't, Duke is pitching well and keeping the Nats in the game. Who else is going to eat some innings? Davey won't use Lannan, who usually takes a couple innings to get in to the groove anyway.

Top of the order is coming up. Save the pinch hitters for when we got guys on.

Duke looked shaky at first but for a guy getting thrown into the fire to eat up innings it's an encouraging start.

Where will that Desmond catch rank on Sportscenter's top 10? Not a ton of college football tonight and no NFL games, so I'll say #2.

Not quite.  Silver slugger is his, though.

good god, they can't even generate a rally of any kind against Turner. I can't believe it. Just going into the night as quiet as a peep.

Wright
A. Ramirez

Oh and Wright is a mortal LOCK for the Silver Slugger at third base. It's not even close

Yep.
Couldn't get a hit off a tee.

Sigh, there goes the last chance to get back in the game.
