Garcia has pitched well and all, but I don't want a guy with virtually zero MLB experience on the playoff roster.

I see the talent, I want him on the roster.  But your point is valid - can he handle the pressure, will it cause him to be less effective?

Depends on his personality to a great extent.  I would trust Rizzo/Johnson to make the call based on their knowledge of his makeup.  But we could sure use another live arm in the 'pen.

I'm in favor of winning the division and then making roster decisions.

About half of the WS over the past 10 or so years have had a September or late August call up playing big roles.  K-Rod, Jenks (I think) and Ellsbury for winners, Price on a losing team, just off the top of my head.  Garcia could be a huge addition.  Last night they used him in a pretty hi-lev situation (1 run lead bottom of the 7th and start of the 8th).  The 3 Ks were big boy Ks.

Garcia has pitched well and pitched out of some bad situations with poise. I see nothing to suggest that he would not be ready for the pressure of the postseason.

This is a team that kicked Lannan into the minor leagues for an inexperienced Detweiler and called up Harper at a time when the common wisdom was that he was unready. I suspect they will have no problem with including Garcia on the postseason roster if they think he has the talent and the stones.

Meh - I'm not going to hate because of a couple of infield hits

Sean will be fine. He'll be on the roster

Then hate on him for the hanger to Bourn.  He'll be on the roster if he's not injured, but he needs to pitch better.

I have a feeling that De Rosa will be on the play-off roster over Moore. I don't thnk Moore has been hitting and DerRsa has plus DeRosa has recent play -off experience.

FP was lobbying for Eury to be added to the roster. A stud pinch runner in tight ball games can make a difference.

He is . Played the first two games in Mil and over the last 10 games he has played he is 2 for 16. Last hit was 9-11.

C Suzuki
1B LaRoche
2B Espinosa
3B Zimmerman
SS Desmond
LF Morse
CF Harper
RF Werth

Bench:
Moore
Flores
Bernadina
Lombardozzi
Tracy
Perez (Pinch runner. Maybe Bernadina can fill this, but I have a man crush on Eury Perez.)

Rotation: (No idea how they line it up.)
Gonzalez
Zimmermann
Jackson
Detwiler

Bullpen:
Gorzelanny (I like Garcia a lot, but Gorzo still fills LR role. Wouldn't be shocked if Garcia made it over him or Mattheus.)
Gonzalez
Mattheus
Burnett
Stammen
Clippard
Storen

I think a long bench is more likely than a long bullpen. With the days off in the postseason you have time to freshen up your bullpen.

Assuming you mean LaRoche on First - not Desmond.

If we're going to be cloning an infielder to play first, I'd say it should be Zimmerman.  Despite Desi's big year, I think I'd still rather have Zim be the one to bat twice.  More importantly, if he's playing both third and first, maybe he'll know ahead of time when he's about to make a terrible throw.
