I live in Texas. Indoor baseball is a gift from heaven. I've seen a game sitting in direct sun at 104 degrees. It was so hot I didn't even drink a beer.

Then, by God, baseball ought to be outlawed in Texas.

Did a little heat bother the defenders of the Alamo?  Where's that hardy pioneering pluck, eh??

You try it and get back to me!

Also, the Alamo was fought over in winter... temperatures ranged from the high 30s to the low 50s during the siege.

Holliday was way behind the fastball. Curve right down the middle he was easily able to get around on.

I went to at least a couple of day games this summer where the absolute temp was ~100 and the heat index was 110...it was great!

So LaRoche's absence hurts or the umpire got it wrong.  I don't know which.
