also Spurs' Sigurdsson (sic?) (Iceland)

edit:  also a bunch of Israeli players (Benayoun and Haim are the ones I remember, but there were others in the EPL and other top European leagues in recent years).

At least some good Belgian players (Kompany, Fellaini to name but two) should get to play in the 2014 WC.

City dominating. Wish they'd play like this every week.

Mr Hyde showed up today...

City lost, but they dominated the game. 67% possession and 13 corners. Just a couple of defensive mistakes and missed shots. I'm not too upset about that loss.

I'm really liking Arsenal's squad this season. That midfield is sick.

Most importantly, Man U lost at home

So DC United are 3–21–6 but can clinch a CONCACAF Champions' League spot Tuesday. Wouldn't that be funny.

How Balotelli sold that later-than-late penalty is beyond me.

There are going to be some awesome games at RFK next year...

Chivas, Club America, Saprissa, who knows.  I'm jazzed.

There were some pretty extreme CL games there last year.  Porto was playing some Russian team (can't remember who...Spartak?) and it was like -20F and windy.  The Brazilian players looked like they wanted to die right then and there.

I must have missed the memo about Anelka coming back to Britain.  I thought he had joined the gravy train to China.

My parents got home last week from a vacation in Russia/Belarus/Lithuania/Latvia/Estonia/Finland and they said the last couple of days in Helsinki the wind chill made it feel colder than 20 Fahrenheit, this in late September. Wow.

After this past week, that could be South/North Dakota.

Yep. And Mexico/Panama right after that on ESPN plus all kinds of other games on BeIn and other channels.  I'm stoked.

This one is going to be huge here in DC (biggest Ethiopian population outside of Ethiopia).  They have never qualified for a World Cup, and are actually in a good position to do so this year (they just have to beat powerhouse Nigeria):  Ethiopia vs. Nigeria 9 a.m. beIN Sport, beIN Sport Spanish, SiriusXM 94

US/Jamaica at 6 on ESPN.
