But that one suits your agenda - and is from a different thread.

My agenda? I haven't made a comment either way on how I feel about Cabrera or Morse.

I just find it interesting how two guys busted for the same thing are seen in different ways.

Plus, let's be honest, sf doesn't count.

after this afternoon, this gets moved to out of town scoreboard.

:whip:

Fair enough. I felt it appropriate given our game this afternoon.

I was talking about your anti-ASSCLOWN agenda.

That's not an agenda, that's a way of life.

I'd like to think sf isn't a barometer of sentiment here

Cabrera was very honest about his positive test and suspension.

No, he fought it for at least a month, and along with his agent lied to a reporter who had sniffed out the failed test and pending suspension.

Heyman:

Quote
San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera issued a seemingly very conciliatory and apologetic statement through the players union, which was an appropriate response after being caught cheating with a failed test for testosterone by Major League Baseball.

But that doesn't mean Cabrera and his representatives didn't originally contest or even fight the failed test, which occurred more than a month ago. While Cabrera didn't ultimately take the finding of a failure for testosterone to a hearing, he had to have challenged the findings at first. And for quite some time.

The timing tells you that much.

etc.

Unfortunately, it colors your opinions rendering them less balanced.

I just hope that SF feels the same way if it comes out that there was something extra in that Cortisone shot.

Just looking at the numbers, his ISO has increased over the past two years or so.  He was normally a ~.110 ISO guy and the last two years it has jumped to ~.165.  His BABIP is way higher now too so he could be feeling the extra speed to leg out hits from the test boosting.

I know Morse stated the steroids he took were to heal from a lingering injury back when he was in the minors.  Honestly I don't think its an apples to apples comparison and no PED case is the same.  Competitive advantage or not, Melky always had a pretty good eye so maybe the extra muscle was to help all those bloop hits happen.  Who knows besides him?  Maybe if he didn't even do the drugs, he might have still been a damn fine ballplayer, maybe not a batting title champ but seriously he could have been a good ballplayer.

He'll be back next year and no one will really care.  See Braun, Ryan.

It's not unusual for a 26 or 27 year to have an increase in power. Ian Desmond has an increase from the .120 range to .220 range this season.

So either he is awesome or on drugs.  I'll go with awesome.

Still Melky's hits are all weird.  I don't care if the drugs do it or not.  He seems to be the king of bloop singles and awkwardly placed doubles.  He is an interesting hitter not in his stance or swing, just the outcome.

Pence looks like that mentally retarded horse from Family Guy anywhere on the diamond.

Likely bought them from Melky's website. ;)

Nope. It was something Jim Duquette said this morning on Power Alley.
