well JZimm just had his most dominant inning of his career.

I'm not sure that can ever be said, especially against the Astros.

Jordan's had a nine pitch, three strikeout inning.

Totally agree.  I'm 23 myself - it's sad how many people around our age seem to swear off baseball as being "too boring."  It's a contemplative game with so many nuances, definitely not boring.

I'll chirp in here - I am pretty sad that at 19 I know absolutely NO ONE my age that likes baseball. I am hoping I can find some people that like the sport when I get back to school but I don't know how. I am getting another friend into it (but she is self admittedly a fair weather fan, though enjoys coming to games and cheering for the team and does follow the standings) but I really want to meet a super knowledgeable fan who can teach me more about the rules and nuances of the game. Thankfully WNFF fills that void.

Not the first time, either.  Bet that's never happened during an Orioles broadcast.  Just sayin'...

Angelos hit the switch.  He wants ppl to turn to the other channel and watch Machado.

I tell you what...if JZ keep developing and Det keeps developing and Gio and Stras hit their stride, next year this team is going to win a 100 games.

Sorry, I will move this to the SSS thread.

I had to seek out this board for the same reason.

Yea, I was slightly overstating it.  He's dealing tho.

Harper might need another game or two off.

As long as they serve beer at baseball games, people in their twenties will keep coming.

One of the differences could be involvement at a young age  ...  When I was a kid (50's), we played baseball all the time   ...  in the park, little league, variations in the street, curb ball, whiffle ball, etc.    It was ingrained at an early age.    We grew up with baseball.   We didn't have a lot of options when it came to entertaining ourselves and baseball (and variations) was an easy and cheap way to "play".

Yep, it's basically confined to the northeast and pockets of the midwest (Chicago/St Louis) in terms of genuine interest.

You have a point. That's why I always say it will take a generation to make this a real baseball town.

LaRoche just needs to put this ball in the outfield... by air or land.
