Most of our elite prospects aren't tradable now - Rendon and Purke for two.  I wouldn't preclude trading anyone for the right price but I agree with Rizzo that anybody we get needs to be a long term asset, not a short term stop gap.  Buy long, sell short.

Remains to be seen, if this team fizzles, we better be in it for the next few years or Rizzo blew it. The whole point of buying long selling short is thinking long term- trading this year better result in multiple playoff berths down the road

Time for a double switch. H-Rod pitches, Rizzo catches.

I think they'll be really close to us in the end, either way.

Nobody, but nobody, thought we were going to be in it this year.  Not sure what you mean by Rizzo blowing anything, are you saying he should sell (or, have sold) the farm for some short-term win-now pieces?

This team isn't going to fizzle.

If Zim, Des, LaRoche don't get back soon they will. Also the starting pitching is tanking

8 relievers in the bullpen is the excuse they're using for keeping Rodriguez on the roster.

Moore looked pissed after that dumb ass knocked his arm down.  If you're going to wear a goofy hat and bring your glove to the game how about understanding how the game is played before you interfere with the home team.

I don't think any "elite" prospects were traded today. Tommy Joseph was traded for Pence was probably the best of the bunch.

I think that the Nats could have added pieces without trading Rendon, Myers, Purke, etc. Hopefully, we can add a catcher and some bullpen depth in August and that Rizzomisnt as comfortable as he sounds...

H-Rod needs a change in scenery, for his own good as well as the team's.

$2 worth of beer in the Presidents Club?  I don't think Carp knows how it works down there.

Good thing there was no one in that seat next to him, would have been a beer facial.
