Why not? have you watched them pitch lately? The fact that these guys would make our hypothetical postseason roster is scary.

Are there any relievers on the market? Would love to pick someone up.

I have and see one guy that's got good stuff but no velocity (Stammen) and another that's got decent velocity and stuff that makes mistakes. Surely you're not going to tell me bullpens on playoff teams don't make mistakes.

Playoffs are different animals. Need starters to go 7+ which ours' don't do and need shutdown bullpen which we don't have.

You think the Nats will go undefeated this week? I hope so. Going to have to do that to keep up with Atlanta.

No I said put a lifetime ban on whether or not Nats will be in first at end of the week.

Put up or as MDS would say, STFU.

New pitcher had back-to-back blown saves in their Phillies series last week.

disappointing, the next two days are going to suck. Other teams will keep making moves to get better and we will stand pat.

He's been unbelievably terrible but Nats won't do crap.

Braves are a week away from being in first unless the Nats go undefeated this week.

The Phillies had all the momentum heading into that series but the Braves don't back down. They are not going away no matter how much the Nats keep winning. The Braves just keep winning, putting pressure on Nats to almost play undefeated baseball.

The Braves are such a streaky team.  They can pretty much sweep any team or get a few sweeps consecutively.  But they can get swept by any team or get swept a few times consecutively.

As frustrating as this game is the Nats are pretty much the exact opposite of the Braves.  They never really got their 60-40 record by going through streaks of really any notable length.  They only had one 6 game win streak and their longest losing streak was 5 games?  The Nats got their 1st place record on a pretty consistent pace.  I figure the consistency gives the Nats the edge over time over the super streaky Braves no matter how the good the Braves are doing right now.

That's Rodriguez' 14th walk in 11 IP this month. He's given up 7 runs over his last 3 appearances
