He is playing TWO levels higher than he should, but the organization has no MLB ready catchers outside of Ramos (out for season), Solano (DL), and Flores (crap... I mean tired.  No I meant crap).

Yes but at the all star break Davey was raving about he has never seen such catching depth in an organization.  I guess that assessment was a bit off in hindsight.

Aramis Ramirez has what, 10 hits in this series already? :hang:

If Craig Stammen is pitching meaningful innings for us down the stretch we are freaked. He's awful.

Why didn't Davey just leave Ross in to get the last out? Pitcher spot was leading off next inning.

So, that trade for Kottaras...

It's not the catcher. Our pitchers just don't keep baserunners honest.

When was Stammen's last good outing?

that's why he double switched him.

Aramis Ramirez is 5/6 with 2 Doubles and a HR in this series. He looks way too comfortable playing for this team way out of the hunt. Need to knock him off the plate.

I actually think he wanted to make a point of pulling Ross and making him walk off the field.  Davey did not seem happy and at the time we were only down 3-0.  Might as well put HRod in now.

Aight, I'm out.  One loss is all it is.  Get back on the horse tomorrow with a real horse in JZimm.  Braves are only 4 games back, I'm not too concerned.

Why not let him get Braun out who he owned first time two times up and then pinch hit for him? Stammen sucks.

When was Stammen's last good outing?

He bounces back and forth.  He throws a turd, then throws two or three good ones.  It's pretty upsetting honestly.  Hopefully they don't send him down over HRod being DFA'd.

I agree with this - the pitchers are terrible at holding runners on.  Lidge was the worst and HRod just about as bad.  Stammen appeared rattled and forgot to even look over at first base.

Like our chances tomorrow, JZimm vs Wolf and hopefully Phillies can knock around Mike Minor.

Why is Leon playing?
Because Matt LeCroy retired.

The Reds, who it seems play the Astros and Cubs all the time and are now playing the Rockies, will tie us for the best record in the NL tonight.
