The original article about Mikey reading 50 Shades of Gray: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/post/michael-morse-read-fifty-shades-of-grey/2012/07/18/gJQAO93WtW_blog.html

Quote
"I don’t know. It’s crazy. It’s nuts,” [Morse] told me. ““[My fiancée] was like ‘Listen to this.’”

After some R-rated story time, Morse said that his sensitive ears couldn’t take any more.

“I was like, ‘Put that away,’” he laughed. “‘You can’t be reading that.’ I felt like she was cheating on me.”
:lmao:

It was the future Mrs Morse who read the book, not Mikey!

A lot of us are 'disappointed' in Mike being 'taken'.

You noticed I said FUTURE Mrs Morse so not to confuse identity with the current one!  ;)

A co-worker of mine read it and said it was rather 'tame'.  I havent so I Can't speak either way.  I heard one botel or B&B replaced the Bible in all their rooms with the book.  Said the Bibles werent being read!  LOL

A Barnes and Noble employee thought it might replace the bible soon as #1 Best seller ever!  Said its only ojt since April and is in its 62 printing!

Btw, one book does not really end.  It goez to the next one etc.

Beast doesn't strike me as big reader. I sat next to him at a lunch in 2010 and while he's an extremely nice guy and a conversationalist, he didn't come across as, uh, a heavy consumer of the written word. ;)

But I detect that, like Minty, he's endowed with the gift of gab.

Interestingly enough 50 shades of grey began as a piece of twilight fan fiction

Without the accent.  Morse should start dropping references to Goethe and Bertrand Russell into post-game interviews.  He could even work in how his homeruns are meaningless but they're his meaningless homeruns to hit.

Uhh, not really. He's not very articulate. See his on camera interviews for proof.

The best gabbers on the team are Clipp, Storen, and, surprisingly, Bryce. RZ and LaRoche are not too bad.

I think having the "gift of gab" and being articulate are two different things.  Gabbers, more are just social and can talk to about anyone, anywhere.  I know a lot of articulate people who can't do that.

Sure, I get that. I was using them synonymously but if I accept your thinking, then I think you can't have the gift of gab if you are not articulate first. Doesn't matter how social you are if you can't articulate a decent thought. But I can see how you can be articulate and not have the gift of gab.

I'd mostly agree with that.

Gabber. Not articulate. If it helps, for me someone who is articulate is "well-spoken." I was using gabbers and articulate interchangeably but not anymore.

Wow. You call that bashing?

Nor is it mocking or insulting. Just an observation. It's like noting a quirk in his pitching motion or something. :mg:
