AWww man!

I asked Steve McCatty once what he says to Ross because after he talks to him.he pitches better.

Smiled and said he carries a buzzer in his pocket and zaps him with it!

Cals, how did you get to talk with McCatty?

I heard or saw some comment that Davy is saving innings for our starters in prep for the possible post season.

Can someone please explain to me why Gio did not stay in the game?

I cannot. It's not like we're trotting Bruce Sutter out there.

On field Photo Day.  The coaches stay in one place a little longer.

Why do you ever throw a strike to Valdespin?  He's either going to walk or get himself out.

Indeed, led him perfectly.  Burnett is reasonably athletic with that sort of play too.

I hate those pitches in the dirt.

I don't see the point.

It's a free ball to the hitter in the count.

You might question Davey, but when it comes right down to it, he wins.  Assuming Clip comes in in the 9th, I hope he doesn't make us nervous.

I don't have a huge problem with pulling Gio there.  He was up in the order and Davey PH for him.

In the American League he might have pitched another inning.

On Field Photo Day I try to ask a question.  It keeps them in one place long enough to take a good picture.

For my Avid I asked for a pic of the 2 roomies

Also, Jackson is the only #Nats starter to record an out in the 8th inning this season.

The last time a #Nats starter recorded an out in the 8th was when Edwin Jackson went 8 IP back on June 11. Not for lack of quality starts.

Merry Tyler Moore PH for Gio with 2 on base and 2 outs (and 87 pitches for Gio.)  I suspect it was losing the Atlanta game with a 9-run lead, making Davey want to add runs against an NL-East rival.

Plus, it gives him a chance to play his bench, let Moore or DeRosa bat, keep everyone fresh.
