I feel like if Leon comes up with two hits today, there will be talk of replacing Flores, and rightfully so.

Also on tap for today in the NL East (dare we hope for them all to lose again for a third straight day?):

13.10 - Mets-Dodgers (Niese vs Eovaldi)
13.35 - Phillies-Giants (Blanton vs Zito)
13.35 - Pirates-Marlins (Karstens vs Sanchez)

http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/split.cgi?t=b&team=ATL&year=2012

The Braves appear to do a lot worse against LHPs (.713 OPS) than against RHPs (.747 OPS).  Most of their best hitters - Bourn, Heyward, McCann, and Freeman are left-handed.  Chipper Jones' (switch hitter) OPS against lefty starters is .659 and against right handed starters is 1.059 (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?id=jonesch06&year=&t=b).

Maybe we should have set up the post-ASG rotation so that we could throw Gio, Detwiler, and Lannan against the Braves.  Still should have won the Strasburg game and Edwin Jackson pitched really well, so can't fault them too much.  But if we end up in a one-game playoff against them or in a full series against them, we should throw as many lefties as possible at them.

Of course we dare hope :) if the Phillies finally fall 15 games behind...

Can't believe DJ played Desi in both games of a rain soaked DH.

Great quick 1-2-3 inning there from Det. We need a good game from him today for the split.

I'm not expecting a long outting from the lotion man. He's looking bad and we are just teeing off on him. Hopefully we can hold the early lead...
