I blame Leon. Poor hitting. Poor game calling behind the dish. Where's Maldonado?

We need to crush the  Braves. They are too close to us in games won in the Division. Let's get serious........Every win brings us closer to the play-offs - Time to soldier-up!

Soldier up?

It's like "cowboy up," only more militaristic, because, you know, of all the DoD influence.

I prefer to say, "Cloture the SOBs," in honor of this of the Capitol you can't see from the ballpark.

You never like to see a loss, but I'm actually going to go with "best loss of the year:"

- Got behind enough early that most of the starters got to rest.
- Gio stunk the joint out, which motivates him for the next time and helps get his numbers back to something actually sustainable.
- Storen got to get worked back in in a low-pressure environment.
- The team fought back enough to make it a respectable loss and not an epic blowout.

Take it.  53-37.  Bring on the Bravos.  Bring on Stras.

Can you move this to the SSS thread? Thanks.

Loser talk. No such thing as a "best" loss but two out of three ain't bad.

I felt badly for my grandson.  He was one of many campers that attended today's game.  Rather a lousy one for sure!

TODAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: Tuesday 19th July 2012 brought a 4-nil shut-out of the Colorado Rockies at RFK, with John Patterson (oh what might have been) earning the decision...record now 54-40...http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=250719120

I was there too. Brutal. And I'm not just talking about sitting in the sun.

Both the heat and the game were deadly today.  I'm supposed to go Saturday afternoon (the make-up game for the June 1st rain-out).  I'm not thrilled about sitting out in the heat but, it's supposed to be a little cooler.

Announced attendance of 36,389 is the second-highest ever for a Mets visit to Nats Park, trailing only Saturday 3rd July 2010 (39,214 with Strasburg starting).
