Ceremonial First Pitch
« Topic Start: June 30, 2012, 10:37:49 AM »
I'm curious, what does it take to throw out one of these?

It usually seems to be a season ticket holder, or some corporate exec who has clearly paid a lot of money for the right to do it. But what about the charity-related people who sometimes do it? How did they get the chance?

I ask because the government agency I work for is going to a Nationals game next month. We are bringing a decent sized group (about 100 people) and one of them is a somewhat notable ex-statesman, who is doing great work to help disadvantaged groups. I would love to see him throw out the first pitch, and I'm wondering if I could get this done without breaking the bank.
