So - he's a free agent now, right?  I wouldn't be surprised to see him get picked up by someone.

We can't hit anybody. :?

Lidge will have to do. I cannot imagine other teams signing batting tees which would be the only realistic hope for our offense as currently constructed.

He's pretty much a BP pitcher so Zimmerman would probably feast on him.  :stir:

I don't know...  signing batting tees is a great way to decrease payroll.  Maybe the Phillies would be interested.

Brad Lidge has a sad.

Quote
"I am healthy,'' Lidge said in an email to ESPN.com, "but based on the path I would have to take to get back to the bigs this year I am not sure I will be jumping back in right now. No official decision one way or another, but mostly I am not happy that I rushed back from surgery before I was ready only to be designated for assignment a couple of days later.''

Duh, Brad. Ask Mrs. Lidge: rushing never makes it better.

Lidge needs to STFU and realize how lucky we was that I wasn't in charge at the time, I was calling for him to be shot.

i think it might be harder to hit a HR off a batting tee since the ball has no velocity initially. i'd like to see if a mlb player could hit one out off a tee.
