When Stras has command like he does tonight there is no better pitcher in baseball.

Quit coddling him. Strasburg can score his own damn runs. Sheesh. Next you'll have him bunting.

Sad that a pitcher of SS's caliber has to play with hack hitters like those that adorn the Washington lineup.

Roenickie (sp?) is a much better pitcher than Francis. And also Ian Desmond's brother in law.

Well, we did score 2 runs off him in 5 innings, twice our rate of offense vs. the Oreos.

Ian Desmonds' brother in law?

Yes. Josh Roenickie is married to Ian Desmond's sister.

I'd still say Roenicke is a MUCH better pitcher than Jeff Francis.

Nice shot, though it was an awkward slide and looked like he popped off the bag briefly, but still a really good hustle play.

Agreed on 2 points.  Not sure what it has to do with the other point.

Stras's .939 OPS doesn't exactly scream "concede the out".

[riggs]but we luvs the bunt and dubbleswidges[/riggs]
