If we can't beat Jeff Francis into retirement we should just concede the season.

I ain't gonna jinx him but if he has "nothing" goin' on, I might make seven.

Eh probably six. He won't go past six. Probably have some issue. Like a hitch in his giddiup. Or itching powder on his mustache.

I could swear that Davey said he wouldn't let Strasburg pitch a complete game, even if he had a no-no going.

Or itching powder on his mustache.

That would not be a good sign.

He's been going 7 in every close game lately.

I don't think that's been said, and Strasburg has been stretched out to the 110s lately.

Davey doesn't get a vote on my bedtime.   :)     I'm in bed after seven at the latest no matter what happens.    It's why God made MLB TV/DVR's/MLB.COM ..  even ESPN.    I'll watch the end tomorrow.

we better get more than 4 singles off Francis.  I somehow highly doubt it though.

This feels like the kind of series where the offense puts up huge numbers, everyone says the problem is over, then the sucking continues

I think this is the series where the offense can get going. I'm sure the numbers may be inflated some due to Coors Field and the Rockies atrocious pitching, but it's a great place to build confidence at the plate. I'm excited.

No more game day threads for me, hours for my new job have changed so I have to try void scores all day and then come home and watch the game.

Sad times ahead

I'll be able to stick around for day games and some of the weekend ones as well, but watching the game with nowhere to vent will be tough

Simply start an "aussienatsfan" GDT and nag at yourself.   That's what we all do together.   Then we'll nag at you when we wake up.

I'll just use this thread in that case. Only about 15 hours until I'll know the result, hopefully stras pitches well in a tough park.
