Does Leonsis refuse to fire the Caps GM too? Does that guy at least do a good job?

The Capitals, in McPhee's first season (1997-98) went to the Cup Final with a roster mostly inherited from David Poile...they have not gotten past the second round since.

The Wizards have won one playoff series (2005, over Bulls, on Grunfeld's watch) in the past thirty years.

The Mystics have won one playoff series in their entire 15-season history (2002, over now-defunct Sting, three years before Leonsis bought team).

Verizon (former MCI) Centre, opened 1997, has never been the home arena of a championship team.

MONUMENTAL!
