Hitters ill prepared for Hammels. Why can other teams foul off pitches and not this one?

We actually have pretty good players.

No we don't.      Unless your definition of "pretty good players" is way off of most people's.

Smoke and mirrors.    Smoke and mirrors.   And very, very good pitching.

It was predictable that Jordan Zimm gave back the run we scratched out for him.  He throws up on himself at the absolute wrong times every game.  Needed a shut down inning and he plunks a guy and then give up two 2 out hits.  Of course, all we will hear about is his lack of run support but there is more to it than that.

Yeah, that damn louse Jordan Zimmermann. Can't get a W with only one run of support off an error. What a bum.

Compared to Gio and Stras, sure. Compared to most other starters, no.

We're cursed having to send a pitcher to the mound every 5 days that constantly yields 2 freaking runs over 6 frames.    :|

If we had scored five or six runs everyone would be saying what a great outing JZ is having.

It's all context.

It ain't Zim'nn's fault.

WE CAN'T HIT FOR SH*T.

Over their last 3 starts Zimmermann has been on par with Gonzalez and Strasburg.
