It's Deja Vu, All Over Again: SAME UMPIRE, 7 years later!
Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim manager Mike Scioscia (left) and Washington Nationals manager Frank Robinson are restrained by umpire Tim Tschida (center) after an argument in the seventh inning when Angel reliever Brendan Donnelly was ejected because of pine tar on his glove.

Tuesday, June 19, 2012: Umpire Tim Tschida talks with Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon #70 about the glove of Joel Peralta #62 during the 8th inning.  A foreign substance was found on the glove which led to Peralta being ejected from the game.

Archer has struggled in AAA with command and has been hittable. That said, nothing would surprise me with this team :? They need to knock him out early and score 6+ runs.

About the crazy heat (Weather Channel currently predicting temps and heat index in the 90's during game time): Back in July 2010 we played a weeknight series against the Padres, and the first two fixtures of that series were played amid possibly the highest temperatures ever for a Nats home match - 98 and 99 degrees with heat index of 107. The Nats won both those matches by one-run margins.

For Game 3 the temperature went back to a more reasonable 86 degrees...and the Nats lost heavily, 7-1.

Will the heat/humidity be an ally for the Nats against MLB's last remaining hard-dome team tonight and tomorrow? Will be interesting to find out....

In the meantime: this is serious heat...the first responders (luckily one of their stations is right behind the section containing TBSITH) are going to have their hands full these next two nights...stay hydrated mates - and that means getting a good amount of good old aqua pura along with your adult beverages - Metro is even allowing people to drink water on the trains tonight (http://www.wmata.com/rider_tools/metro_service_status/advisories.cfm?AID=1145).

You should have started four hours ago bro

And I'm predicting Archer will be great against the Nats. Double digit strike outs.

This guy is 4-8 with a 4.81 ERA in AAA this year. Seriously this should be a win for us. Strasburg, vs a kid making his big league debut.

His Cy young bid starts tonight.

Actually, I like our chances here.  I think our middle guys are going to improve upon yesterday.  With LaRoche contributing and well you just have to like our chances with Strasburg on the mound.  I am a little worried about the heat and how he holds up through the game.

Washington Nationals. Having a winning season, then talk.

Pretty much ends that argument, huh?

Uhh... Is that a real uniform? I'm guessing since the Rays came about in 98, it's a retro vintage uniform. But holy crap, with the yellow numbering, that's the... "happiest" MLB uniform I've seen since the 70s and Maddon looks like a putz.
