Ryan Mattheus listed in #Nats bullpen today. Brad Lidge not. Lidge met ike Rizzo earlier.

Attendance is up 36% through 30 home games this year.  Averaging over 29203, per B-R.  Figure another 41,000+ crowd today, that should bump the average attendance above 29,600.  That would still be about 1000 below MLB average, but better than 70% of capacity.

Gotta start by discarding those dumpster dives from the cellar dwelling Phillies. ;)

A win today would surely wipe the nasty taste of the previous two losses out of my mouth.  And hopefully Bryce Harper regains his hitting prowess!

Ivan Nova is 4-0 in his last 4 starts. And he's only given up 1 run over his last 15 innings. Going to be another long day :hang:

People always overestimate Yankees crowds. Granted the frontrunners and  poseurs usually swell their ranks.

Nats need to get back on track today.

I'm looking at the heart of the order.  Step up, or make way for the kids.

When I first saw the pitching line-ups, I thought our best chances were with the first two pitchers.  Now we're stuck with one who has a great record.  We need to change that in a hurry!

Lidge get's DFA'd before I post my research about the last two game's relievers!  One thing I will post is that, despite the supposed significance of this series, the only relievers to pitch in both games of this series were Lidge and Gonzalez, the two relievers at the end of the bullpen.  I found that somewhat amazing.

Anyway, I don't put much credence in Jackson's previous numbers against the Yankees. Like I believed with Gonzalez, this Yankees team is not as good as previous Yankees teams so it's not that relevant.
