Giants series is going to be brutal. Lincecum, Bumgarner, Cain .... Ugh ....maybe the best rotation in baseball. All guys who are more than capable of racking up double digit strike outs

I think we can take 2 of 3. Our pitching is going to need to hold them to 2 or less and steal us a few wins but I think they can do it.

Sounds a lot like...ours.  Two really similar teams.  Gonna be fun.  Is this SF's 1-2-3?

Maybe they aren't as practiced in the art of pre-game hydration as we are.

This week isn't going to be San Fran weather, that's for sure.

We're monsters in the hitting department now - Monsters vs. the Giants - advantage Washington.

Yea. Lincecum is the only wild card. If he pitches like he has until his last start, we should be able to score some runs. If he pitches like he did his last start, he's going to be filthy. MadBum is basically Cliff Lee in his prime. That actually might work in our favor. He throws tons of strikes and the Nats like to swing. Cain ... well he's on his way to a Cy Young.

Zimmermann and Jackson are both coming off starts in Colorado. Pitchers struggle in their next start after leaving Colorado. Detwiler is ... well he's Detwiler. The offense needs to continue to show up.

Bump.

Not a good end to the first half.

On the other hand, we're 5-4 in season series so far!

Enjoy the break everyone!

Destroyed the giants in the series before - our offense got to some of the best pitchers in the league

Would have been nice to get to 50 wins, though.  50 is a nice, round number.  But I guess I'll settle for first place in the NL :P
