Red Sox, lived in boston in 04, went to a bunch of games, really got into the team, plus really good memories of that year over all

well, i suppose it is not exactly 'simply' answering such a query, but: the 'nationals' are my second favorite team--the 'expos' were my favorite team, and now the 'blue jays' are, as they were always, and will always be, far and away one-and-the-same as the two favorites...

Never supported a team during my pre-Nats years here (1977-2004)...although from time to time I did feel a nostalgic twinge for the Dodgers, having lived in Southern California on and off in the 1950's/60's and remembering the Vin Scully broadcasts. Can still feel a bit of a vibe from time to time when the Nats are facing them.

Can't say I have just one.  I'll root for a number of AL teams - I'd say 6 of them.  It'd be 7 if I didn't have such contempt for Manny Acta.

Yeah, he seemed alright in '07 and I wanted to get behind the team's young manager.  Then his decision-making became inexplicably bad in '08 and got even worse the next year.

My full-on disgust was brought on by his unbelievable stubbornness.  "No, sorry guys, Saul Rivera is always my 8th inning guy, even against Ryan Howard with the bases loaded." :bang:

For a few days, I like the Mets. They beat the Phillies tonight, and Philly papers are asking if Papelbon should have been allowed to close.

Incidentally, the Mets seem to have a respectable team...not what I was expecting.
