so harper now has more steals, homers, runs, Ks less, and walks more than Frazier. Harper plays a plus CF and frazier has negative defensive value at third.  In addition Frazier's BA is plummeting and Harper's is rocketing upwards.

Frazier has a better average, OBP and slugging percentage.

But Miley has this unless he completely screws up.

Frazier's OBP and BA will be below Harper's by the end of the season at the rate things are going

Frazier's season is cratering and Miley's team is awful won't make the playoffs.

Minor issue of course, additionally, Frazier and Miley are 26 and 25, respectively.  Do you really think the voters are going to take the ROY award away from the best season by a 19 year old EVER, for one of them?

Funny, wasn't aware ROY was an age based award. Thought it had to do with rookie eligibility.

Is that because Miley's performance is in a higher percentile of pitcher performance than Harper's is in batting performance?

Harper is a top 40 hitter.  Miley a top 15 pitcher.

Mike Trout busted that one

Does anyone know where I can find Bryce Harper's average home run trot time for the season? Tater Trot Tracker does it by game, but I can't find anywhere they have averages for the season.

It looks like the defensive stats have been updated, so even with a bad game last night, Harper sees his fWAR jump to the 4.0 threshold .  0.6 left to catch Ott.

Here's something new to look at.  Best seasons by a batter in his Age 20 or younger season:

Mike Trout is about to put up the greatest age 20 season, and Harper is top 25 already when compared to 20 year olds, all-time.  Look at the names on this list...

That guy Al Kaline looks to have been pretty good...I suspect he led the AL in hitting when he was 20.

Oh...and the HR and slugging % for Buddy Lewis has to be ignored, since he played at Griffith Stadium. The Old Park had the fewest home runs of any park for about 30 consecutive seasons...hard to hit one to left, where the line was about 405 feet...center was so far that people remembered homers by Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. Right field was a mere 320 on the line, but had edged outward and had a 30 or 35 foot wall on top. Plus an advertisement that was in-play.

I remember, vaguely, that in some seasons there were more inside-the-park home runs that into the seats home runs.

I use "print screen", crop up the image, then upload to an image hosting site, imgur.com

It gives you the BBcode and everything, and you don't need an account with them.

Since I was a Mets fan growing up, I never got to see Kaline play except once in person at Yankee stadium.
Sorry, don't remember anything about the game other than it was McLain's first road loss in his 30-win season.

Mel Ott's season isn't including UZR. It's based  solely on his bat. .322/.397/   .524
