Hey, I say test his loyalty. This offseason offer him 10/150 and see what he does.

That would be testing his brains more than loyalty.  He would be insane to agree to that at this point of his career when he projects to be worth well over that in the relatively short term.

Bryce's parents want Bryce to have the dog as a companion but don't know if he (the dog) can stay long periods alone.  I'd like Bryce to know I'd be glad to babysit the dog when he's is on the road.  I'd do it for cheap, too.

Quote
A celebrity of Harper’s stature could surely massage his way into many bars or clubs. Harper said the temptation does not even strike him as an option. He does not drink alcohol, he said, and he is adamant he will not. Although he was raised a Mormon, Harper did not mention his religion as a reason.

What about his mission?  Maybe he's a "reformed" Mormon or "Jack" Mormon (a term I just discovered when checking to see if anyone else had ever used the term "reformed Mormon")?

Smart move here is to offer the enormous contract here soon, maybe a 10 year deal within the next year for around $200 million. If he'll go to 12 years than maybe go $250.

Sometimes when I watch Dustin Pedroia's hand eye coordination and hit ability to take the viscious cut and make contact, I wonder if the guy ever touched a joint or if he drinks at all in the baseball season.  He is just so sharp all the time.  I think Bryce is so hard core about his desire to be the greatest ballplayer ever that he may be one of those who will not do anything to jeopardize his motor control, reflexes, and coordination.

Fixed. You typed smart when you clearly meant clown, since nobody can possibly be that stupid.

It would be cool if he kept that laser focus throughout his career, which we all know is not easy to do. But that's what separates the great ones from the legends.

Who knows if he will maintain it, but I wouldn't bet against the kid. Either way, it will be a blast to watch him try over the next few years.

Hater. I want him patrolling the outfield until he's 73.

And in that great year of 2066, when Harper is 73, I want an outfield of Bryce Harper, Bryce Harper, Jr., and Bryce Harper III.  I also want Bryce Harper IV to be the ballboy.

Go ahead and sign them to $4T contracts now.

Makes sense to me - I'll take a loan out against all that sweet money I'll be making by then from leveraging my mining rights to the moon.

Transfer ownership, name the stadium after him, and redistrict the city so the SE waterfront becomes Harperville, where he can be mayor for life. That should do it.

Why not 34 storys (is it "stories" or "story's" when talking about a building?)

I am greatly concerned with Bryce Harper's inability to lay off anything low and outside.
