When MLB teams visit Milwaukee, they often stay at the Pfister Hotel downtown. The hotel is rumored to be haunted, and ESPN the Magazine asked some ballplayers about their experience there. Bryce Harper shared his own ghost story (via @dcuniverse).
Harper told the magazine that he laid his clothes out on a bench at the foot of his bed before going to sleep. When he woke up, the clothes were on the floor and the bench had been moved across the room.
“I honestly thought there might be someone in my room,” Harper said. “I had no idea what the hell just happened, so I actually looked around, and then I checked to see if the door was still latched, and it was. I thought someone – maybe [Jayson] Werth – came into my room during the night and moved everything around, and I knew Tyler Moore and Lombo were both near me too, but they said no one had done anything like that. Now, they could be lying to me. That’s possible, and no one else seemed to have a weird experience, but it really creeped me out.”
Harper immediately asked to be switched to a different room.
Now, it’s possible that there really was a ghost in Harper’s room. A ghost named Jayson Werth.http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2013/06/19/bryce-harpers-ghost-story/
