His two mental lapses nearly cost us that game yesterday, he'll be stuck in left until he figures out how to stop being stupid.

What?

Bryce is sick? Dizzy in the batters box? Puking between innings?

Doesn't give a crap. Has baseballs to hit.

actually, Gastroenteritis aint got crap on Harps.

Influenza would be characterized by body aches, fever, and a dry cough. It only rarely causes nausea and vomting and that is only in small children - usually they only vomit durring a coughing spell from the flu rather than an actual stomach issue.

The stomach "flu", or Gastroenteritis, which is often referred to as having the flu, is done so incorrectly. This is what Span and Harper had, which is similar, only substitute the nausea and vomiting for the coughing, the fever usually is not nearly as high. Most of the body aches and fatigue come from the vomiting spells.

Gastroenteritis doesn't have the hype machine behind it that "flu" does.

I had the stomach "flu" that Bryce had -- actually my whole family had it.  It moves fast -- it really is a 24 hour thing -- but it's a brutal 24 hrs.  The big thing I'm worried about is that it seems to be super communicable.  I'd be worried that if Bryce and Span have it, half the team will have it over the next week or so.

Hope the day off yesterday allowed him to rest and get better.  He deserves a lot of credit for not only playing Wednesday nite but getting 4 hits.

Harper is 2-33 versus pitchers that average 94+ on their fastball, per ESPN.

Is that only against their fastball? That stat must take breaking balls and other things into account, cause Harper doesn't get that many fastballs to hit.

It's just AB's versus guys that average 94+ on the gun. He's not 2-33 versus their fastball, just 2-33 against them.

Apparently nobody told Bryce that they were auctioning off his opening day jersey. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2013/04/18/bryce-harper-upset-at-the-sale-of-his-opening-day-jersey/

"They just take my jersey away from me and don't ask if I want it or anything! First opening day! Jersey gone!"

But Bryce it went to the Lerner's charity.   Just be happy you don't drink.   We're talkin' $9 beers.

At least they're not $10, that would be just too much.
