here's a whole ton of photos of Bryce's new ride, along with explanations by the guy who built it.

the bat rack in the trunk is pretty cool.

"Bam Bam" is a childhood nickname? I thought it was an Ian Desmond nickname.

Coincidentally, I believe it's both.

We could have had Trout if we didn't go cheap on the Storen pick

Way to be off-topic. Trout was taken 25th. Plenty of teams could have had him. He signed 6 weeks before the deadline so he wasn't a super-expensive pick that we avoided because of money. Your point is wrong.

For sure.

Could be that way for quite a few years. Will be interesting to see who ends up the best when it's all said and done, though.

He's the better player at this moment for sure, but what about if you adjust for same # of PA's in career or age, is Trout still superior?  Any other comparison is unfair.

Looks just like the twilight in Cincy.  Maybe Bryce isn't great at that time of day?

Cincy had that opaque gloam that day, could easily see a ball getting lost in that soup

I've heard of high-top cleats... but damn those things take it to the extreme.

Under Armour will make official Bryce Clown Question shirts for its contract with Harper

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/bryce-harper-melky-cabrera-debut-colorful-cleats-star-060642867--mlb.html

You had to know Bryce Harper would figure out a way to shine brighter than his fellow All-Stars in Kansas City, even if his play on the field didn't quite measure to his high standards. And that's exactly what he did, debuting a new pair of gold Under Armour's Highlight Spine cleats for all the world to see.

According to the Washington Post's Dan Steinberg, Harper has been wearing Under Armour cleats (which are designated for greater ankle support) for the past two weeks. For the All-Star game, though, he decided to go with the specially designed gold pair, which Steinberg describes as 'very Bryce Harper.'  "Those are great, aren't they?" Harper told Comcast SportsNet's Kelli Johnson. "They're awesome for the camera....They're pretty impressive. They've got that Vegas feel to 'em. I like that gold."

That was Harper before the game. When asked about them after the game, he simply added: "I just told them I want as much gold on there as I can."

To make Bryce feel really at home, I think we need to replace the Nats Pack with showgirls, the ushers need to be dressed in togas, and the statues in CF need to be replaced with Roman figurines to give the whole place a Caesar's Palace kind of feel.

Or just make it like a Mormon church ....
