Would you prefer players play injured?

No, it's just that it seems convenient that they all they're all still going to be there.

Guy want to make it, so of they have something nagging, they wait to announce it. The fan vote players are supposed to be the next most deserving, so it's natural they get picked.

I get it.  It just seems like a silly exercise when they're all gonna be in anyway when players inevitably have to back out.

So, wait, now 4 of the 5 players on the NL final vote are in the game?  What was the point of that again?

It's not like they planned the injuries, haha. Guess it's more of an All-Star reserve roster.

I really like and respect trouts game, I must admit at times I check his stats out and hope Bryce can do similar but they are two different players and we are blessed to have one of them.
They're a bunch of West Coast heathens who don't under Bryce Harper Exceptionalism.

Not an All Star topic, but a guy who works the Presidents club area told me last night that Bryce went over to the Wounded Warriors Section during on Field photo day.  He shook hands, had pictures taken, autographed one of his bats for one of them and also put something like 'Thank you for your service' underneath!

Bryce is Awsome and not just because of his baseball talents!

It looked like a lot of the players spent extra time with the Wounded Warriors folks during the session yesterday - they showed some of it on the screen.

Harper interview on the "clown question", whether he expected to be an All-Star, DC fans, a surprising moment, and stealing home.

Right now it's Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood and Make it Bun Dem by Skrillex and Jr Gong Marley. He's been all over the place, though. Love it - my music taste is all over the place as well, so I definitely appreciate it.

Bad to the Bone is an awesome walkup tune.

Aloe Blacc is pretty darn good.

Annoyed he's charging $25 at that concert at 930 though.

"I love Mike Trout," [Chipper] Jones says. "But I have a man-crush on Bryce Harper."

Quote
"You look into his eyes and see something there," [Huston] Street says. "The It Factor that so few big leaguers carry. He has that ability. And that's why I'd pick Bryce: because he came up with so much of the fanfare, came up with so much of the expectations, because he's done it in the nation's capital. He has succeeded with all that, and with a relative amount of humility. He's got his flair. But good for him."

I'm glad Bryce is a National, but isn't Trout the better player - at least so far?

For sure.

Could be that way for quite a few years. Will be interesting to see who ends up the best when it's all said and done, though.

here's a whole ton of photos of Bryce's new ride, along with explanations by the guy who built it.

the bat rack in the trunk is pretty cool.

That said, Trout couldn't handle this level last year.  If Harper makes the improvements Trout did from 19 to 20, he'll close that gap in a hurry.
