hard when we're snake-bitten with injuries.. that does look nice tho. I could see Rendon being a leadoff batter next year

Pisses me off that Willingham is #2 in the AL now in hitting. He should be in DC right now.

Are you kidding me! He's making $7 million. Nady and Derosa are much cheaper.

I wonder what the batting average to dollars made ratio is between Willingham and Nady/DeRosa

I'm trying to keep things in perspective since we have 50 homers and 200 rbi's on the DL in Zim and Morse.

But these games are brutal right now.

Rizzo has already made panic moves to get something going by calling up Moore and Harper.   If he's serious about wanting to contend this year, he needs to fire Eckstein.  Will it work?  Who knows, but he has to try.

All of the Angels MIs are free agents next year.  Kendrick, Aybar, and Izturis.  I could easily see them making at least one available in trade, especially if Trumbo can play 3d.  I don't know their minor league system and whether they have an MI or 3B candidate they are grooming, but that would be another way they might make an MI available.

quick check of BA has Jean Segura, their #2 prospect, on their 40 man and projected in mlb for next year.

Aybar just signed a five year deal like last week.

if we kept Willingham I think you could make an argument that Michael Morse wouldn't have gotten the break he got last year.  I'll take Morse over Willingham.

I'd take both. Willingham was a free agent this past year. I wish we had known of a Morse injury or something.
