Good to see The Chief was able to backtrace® the starter pics correctly.  I'd hate for the Cyberpolice™ to come after him.

FYI...Once again, the Nats are being bumped from 106.7 due to the Whizzers game at 3:00.  I don't know why a surging baseball team is being treated like a second-class citizen in favor of an awful basketball team, but that's the way it is.  AM radio only again today.   Also, and I don't think anyone really knows, or even cares, but 1580 changed their calls to WNEW-AM recently.

It's gotta be a contractual thing. Plus, there's no MASN for the Wizards.

Nats have gotten a bit lucky that Brandon Phillips has been out.

I'll be happy if we split the next two with the Reds.  We have the Astros after this series and should (at least) take 2 out of 3 from them.

I've looked down the rest of the Wizards fixture list and as far as FM-106.7 access they pull rank on the Nats throughout, whether home or away; fortunately for the Nats, the Wizards only have seven matches left after tonight, and they aren't going to the playoffs (season finale is the 26th).

Slowes' and Jageler's broadcasts really are outstanding...but do try Nats radio when they're on FM-106.7 (next non-Wizards-conflict day is vs Astros on the 17th) - the clear reception just makes a good thing better.

They really are. And I also agree that on FM, they are even better. The clarity makes it easier to tell Charlie from Dave, and pick up on the funny little queues.

Why no Ankiel?

I just copied the lineups from yesterday and changed the pitcher, I haven't actually heard what today's lineups are.

Part of the game.  Reds have been lucky to have missed Morse and Storen, too...

For those going today - from Yahoo! Weather (night forecast is included in case this one, like its two predecessors, goes extra innings):

Today: Cloudy. High near 75F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy skies with a few showers after midnight. Low 59F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

---
ALSO: No Metro track-work this weekend - this is the final weekend of Metro's 'Spring Break'. The transit, in fact, has behaved quite well these first two matchdays - even with last night's 13-inning match letting out after 23.00 the Metrorail went fairly smoothly and I had no wait for the connecting bus when I got off at Pentagon City.

They probably just don't know that the game is at 4. Don't worry, it will be on.

The official matchday preview on the club site (http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2012_04_14_cinmlb_wasmlb_1&mode=preview&c_id=was) also says it's on MASN-2 and doesn't say anything about a delayed telecast; also, MASN's site (http://www.masnsports.com/shows_and_programming/) has a 16.00 start.

Espinosa batting 2nd again today. Does anyone agree that he should be moved down in the lineup?

Who would you move up?  He doesn't have much to show for it yet, but he's been grinding pretty good so far in the games I've seen him play.  I think too much unnecessary tinkering usually has adverse affects, especially when you don't really have an obviously better choice to slide in there unless you're going to just give Lombo the job, which I don't think anyone will be suggesting any time soon.
