Hey OC - shouldn't 2012 be on top?

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 4th win, each season:

2011 - 10th April (9th match of season)
2012 - 11th April (6th match}
2005 - 12th April (8th match)
2008 - 13th April (13th match - snapping 9-match losing streak that followed that 3-0 start)
2010 - 15th April (9th match)
2006 and 2007 - 16th April (13th match)
2009 - 26th April (17th match)

Agreed. If sorted by matches into the season, instead of calendar date (which can be delayed by travel days off and rain postponements), then you can clearly see that 2012 is the earliest match to get to the 4th win.

True in terms of number of total matches required to reach that 4th win - what also plays a role is the widely varying start dates of the various seasons, which will become progressively less of a factor as we get deeper into the season.

I know the Mets and Cubs probably won't be any good this year, but a 4-2 roadie is always good.

First pitch broadcast at 12:20 am, perhaps due to the extra innings for the Orioles-Yanquis game.

 :koolaid: :woop:

Grant ____ on 106.7 The Fan said that the 1st inning, when Strasburg was struggling with control of his fastball AND getting squeezed by the ump, demonstrates the difference between a good pitcher, and what Strasburg is: a great pitcher.  He said that everyone on the Mets bench knew it was their only chance to beat Strasburg, but they couldn't.
