Not even close on a fastball. Werth is so damn atrocious. I'm convinced he'll never get his timing straight again. He's been off for over a year now.

Didn't Werth have a decent spring?

Werth needs to get a hit before he comes home or he's going to get his ass booed out of the stadium.

Should've had more than one run, but it's nice to get on the board in the first.

How is it that Werth was such a beast with Philly and so bad here? Davey has to freaking move him down in the lineup, it's getting ridiculous. He can't make contact half the time and keeps freaking up with runners on base.

So far I'm liking Adam LaRoche v2012

1st   A LaRoche singled to right center, D Espinosa scored, R Zimmerman to third.

Nationals  1
Mutts        0

LaRoche is turning out to be the guy we expected to get.  He had a consistent track record, until his shoulder injury last year.

I will boo him on Opening Day if he keeps hitting like this

1 is good, more would have been better. My God, Werth needs a few days off. Davy can't keep him in the lineup at this clip.

It's stunning how bad DeRosa looks too considering he sprayed line drives all Spring. We need Morse back in the worst way.

Werth is a rally-killer.  I hate that little dip-swing...  really sad.

Well at least we know we can eliminate the possibility of batting in dramatically different quality lineups.

Werth was a power hitter in ST and he can't even make good contact right now.

Is that one of us sitting behind Rizzo?

Hell, even DeRosa'a ground ball would have got a run in with one out.
