Strasburg was clearly rattled after that defensive gaffe and gifted one right into Soriano's wheelhouse.  Even though it hurt us in the first inning with Zim's blast, thank God for the wind because that one was CRUSHED.

Hope McCatty talks Stras down in the dugout.  He can't be dwelling on things like that out there.

LET'S GO NATS.

"Buying into 'pitching to contact'" == :hang:

Ex-freaking-actly.

I really hope Rizzo isn't going to ruin a once-in-a-generation talent with that crap :nervous:

Agreed.  Broadcasters are trying to make excuses for magic glove, but you can't.

Maybe he didn't drink his Mountain Dew this morning

I don't make the rules, it's just the way the play is scored. If you fly out and a run scores, it's a sac fly. If you fly out and they move up a base, it's an out.

I don't get it either.

Oh I know, just musing.

That's what the radio guys said - that he has to be the one to catch that

The Nats could/should have been the first team to score a run today. :? All zeroes across the board.

At least the top of the order looks a lot better.  Tony Plush would have bunted himself aboard and then gotten caught stealing.

I'm with FP on this one. You should just throw strikes today.
