11:05 AM start vs. the Giants.  Huh?  Is Nats Park being used for a concert that day?  Why so early?  That's the earliest game in Nats history and frankly I never heard of an MLB game starting before noon eastern time.  And since we are playing the Giants, that game starts at 8:05 AM for fans in San Francisco.

I'm liking that they have the cajones to try non-standard things from time to time.  Natitude!

I still say it's because the past few July 4ths have been 98% humidity and a temp of 95!

Makes me happy- I can watch the game, the head out to get a spot for the fireworks

My favorite Day of the year!  Baseball and fireworks!  I'll be spending the week in Sterling VA and having a great time at Nationals Park.

It's because they know I get off work at 0700 on the 4th and want to test my Natitude

It will still be mighty hot. The game will run to 1 - 2 pm.

It's a ploy to get more people to buy lunch inside the stadium.   :stir:

Johnny and Ray can do the postgame show and still make the early-bird dinner at Denny's.

It'll be weird with the CF gates opening at 8:30am.  Can they start selling beer that early?

They will have a limited supply of commemorative water bottles sold at an appropriate market premium that day, and have instructed Bens and the Shake Shack to include extra salt in their recipes.

Wife was watching the game with me tonight and she heard of Natitude for the first time and said she liked it. Sometimes I wonder why I married that woman.
