Figured if we have a ME3 and a Skyrim thread, there will probably be interest in D3 enough to have a thread.  It comes out on 5/15/2012 :woop:

If you pre order or you have the World of Warcraft annual pass, you can pre-download now :woop:

I went with a Witch Doctor. Surprisingly fun to play although I am new to Diablo. The way it forces you along a quest path and the click on me combat took some getting used to but it seems pretty good. Granted I wouldn't go crazy over it yet.

Sounds like they stuck with the D1 and D2 formula.  Good lord I spent so much time playing Diablo 2 over dial up back in the day.  I used to hate it when some Necromancer would be in our game with a billion skeletons lagging the hell out of my connection

I can't wait to play the secret cow level again ;)

That was me

YOU CANNOT TOUCH MY SKELETAL MASTERY

Man, I might get this eventually, but it'll be tough to get used to the new graphics

It was me too when I was a newb

Later I went with a Sorceress and then when the Lord of Destruction xpac came out I rolled an Assassin.

I'm not *down* on them at all, they're just so different.  It'll be an adjustment.

Compared to what?  D1 and D2?  I never really played D2, so I'm not that familiar with the art style there, but D3's art style doesn't look that drastically different from D1 to me.  A bit more color maybe, but it still feels like a dark crawler from what I've seen.  Granted I haven't played it myself yet.

O.k. the Witch Doctor "DocDemento" just finished the available quests. While it was entertaining it leaves me wondering what will be added when the game is released for real. I can imagine it getting pretty boring if they just recycle the same old quests over and over.

I may try a different class since I never played this game before but it seems a bit underwhelming.

Interesting that the client downloader is not only saturating my downstream but also hammering my upstream pretty hard as well...  what on earth can it be sending so much of back to Blizzard?
