I think the Steelers like to see how ugly they can make their uniforms.

A freakin' shame  ....  give up a field goal and a punt return.

From today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette  ...   it's what he was wearing:

By Ed Bouchette / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The tall guy wearing the red Washington Nationals baseball cap looked pleased as he walked through the Steelers foyer. He had reasons to be. Plaxico Burress not only was back in the NFL, but back where it all began a dozen years ago.

I watched the game (in Western PA) with a family member who is a Michigan native, Wayne State grad and still lives there.   He's pissed.

Washington is considered a Baltimore suburb and the Ravens play the second game.   They don't want runover time.

Stains 20 Steelers 14   ....  SEVEN turnovers (3 interceptions 4 fumbles PLUS 4 more the Steelers recovered)  ...  9 penalties  ...   6 punts.     Hail Mary full of grace  ....   !!!!

Oh YEAH!  And snowy.  I was an Ed major and we helped out in local schools.  We went in a blizzard one..  Actually Cleveland vs Pittsburgh was huge on campus because we were 60 miles west of   Pittsburgh!  There were huge banners on separate sides of.the cafeteria.

In that vein, things have gotten so bad in Jetsland that even their unofficial mascot has quit:

Dude has been THE J.E.T.S fan for what? 35 years? I don't blame him for hangin' up his helmet. He didn't say he was quiting anyways, just wasn't going to give in to the ass holes that hound him. I don't disagree with him. Seems like a decent guy too, but who knows.

Sounds like Youngstown.   LOL     Seems I had a conversation on the board sometime ago about the Terriers of Hiram College.   Don't remember who it was but they said the campus was divided.   Anyway, my hometown is about as far west as you can get in PA.   It was so far west that the closest hospital was in OH.  I was born in OH.     As a youngster, I remember watching Browns and Steelers games (when the weather was right) on TV.    Never was a Browns hater like a lot of other Steelers' fans.

'

Was probably me!  We're not far from Youngstown either.  Hiram Ohio.  We're on the Map but a very small dot.  I have other friends that are Steeler fans.  Cleveland game is the only one I nudge them about.  This year they played a lot of NFC east Rivals of the Skins.  So then it was go Steelers!  Hope we can do the same with the Ravens.

Chiefs player killed his girlfriend, drove to the team facility and then shot and killed himself in front of the coach and GM this morning.

Terrible story.

Saw that on the wire.   It's a damn shame.   He obviously needed help.
