Why does anyone kill theirself? Because they were very unhappy, or were not well in the head.

Could just as easily be another NFL'er who suffered from brain damage afterwards that lead to depression that lead to his death.

So many times depression is linked to repeated head trauma over the years.  Don't let your kids play tackle football.

Depression is also linked to a zillion other things, money and the emptiness of life among them.

Seau is the eighth member of the 1994 Chargers, who reached the Super Bowl and lost to to the San Francisco 49ers, to die at a young age. He was predeceased by Chris Mims, David Griggs, Rodney Culver, Lewis Bush, Curtis Whitley, Shawn Lee and Doug Miller.

Seau shot himself in the chest. Good to see another football player protecting his brain, likely for research.

Still, it's scary how many football players have serious brain issues later in life.

It's the price of playing the game.  Like I always say - don't want to get punched, don't get in the ring.

He always seemed like an up and down kind of guy.  He had the TV show, showed great spirit and community involvement, was popular, etc... but also had that drive off a cliff (literally) that he said was a car malfunction.  In hind sight, makes one skeptical of that.

Marcellus Wiley tried to summon tears for the piece he did on ESPN about Seau but they never materialized.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK KKKKKKK!!!!!!

Why T-Sizzle? WHY????

Seriously though, the balance of power has shifted in the AFC North. I would put the Steelers and Bengals as the favorites to win the division now. Ravens will be in it, but I have no idea how they'll generate any kind of pass rush this season. The pass rush was a weakness and it was something they wanted to address this offseason. The offensive line was a concern also, and they have done nothing this offseason to address that.
