You are an idiot .wmv

Gary Bennett has a Series ring. The 25th man is just not worth throwing yourself into the Anacostia over. You should do it because the Orioles are so bad.

lol at you.

i'm talking about a real starting OF rather than having to rely on ankiel/bernadina/one of the others.

but of course you don't look at it that way.  you never do :lmao:

when people will nag about offensive problems this year, you'll manage to blame it on bowden/kasten/riggleman/any other scapegoat.

And Rizzo has already shot him down.

So much for DJ calling the shots re positions. I think it's a collaboration between him and DJ.

And they're keeping their OF options so they can make room for BHarp!

Davey mentioned CMW had health issues. Trainer Lee Kuntz clarifies: mild sprain in left hand, standard soreness in shoulder. "He's fine."

Wang threw a pretty aggressive side session today. No worries afterward. The hand sprain came when he slipped on wet grass last month.

Lombo has apparently gained 15 pounds of muscle. Per Adam Kilgore. Davey was surprised.

I see Victor Conti is back in business.  Next you're going to tell me Dee Gordon is pushing 120#.

Well Davey was impressed. I don't think he would be happy if it was 15 pounds of flab.

Maybe Lombo can be our Lin/Tebow. I'm saying this because I want him to be a guy who is given a shot and takes away with it.

very cool to hear that Lombo has a good shot to crack the 25-man.  They need someone who could potentially step in if Desmond is batting .230 / .260 come the end of April.

I would think Teahan gets the nod before those two.

keep in mind, we just need a placeholder CF for two months.

Good thing we kept Lannan around. Wang has injury risk all over him

Time will tell, I just have a bad feeling with him.

I don't think Lannan gets traded until well into ST after we see what we have with Wang.

that's basically what Rizzo said the other day, he wants to hold onto all his starters until near the end of camp.  Both to have backup if someone gets hurt, and to drive up demand because there are bound to be injuries elsewhere.

Rendon is in big league camp because of his draft contract, but Kilgore thinks he may begin his pro career at Class A Potomac.  The Nationals intend to play Rendon at third base, second base, and shortstop, at least during spring training, but manager Davey Johnson downplayed the extra infield positions, according to Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.com.

Could someone that's down there comment on what Lombo looks like now?  I'm really curious if he put on 15lbs of muscle in less than a year.  Granted, he was incredibly thin when he came up last year but I'm going to really be impressed if he put on 15lbs of rock muscle.

On a related note - where can I listen or watch ST games?  I've got a lot of programming and project planning to do in March so I'll have a lot of uninterrupted blocks of time.  Any info would be much appreciated.
