Fantasy Baseball 2012
« Topic Start: February 15, 2012, 01:31:02 PM »
Are we doing a WNFF league this year?

Eric Karabell puts five Nats in the top 100 this year, most ever I believe.

Zimm: 29
Strasburg: 73
Werth: 75
Morse: 77
J-Zimm: 93

I'm guessing Zimmerman, J-Zimm, Strasburg and Morse will go higher in most drafts.

Miguel is #1 overall due to his 3B eligibility.

Ryan Braun is going to be an interesting pick this year, he'll play maybe 105 games if he's suspended.

In it to win it.

And this time, Minty won't ruin my near dream season as he did in Fantasy Football!

I won two of my four fantasy teams last year despite having never played before.  Maybe I should give some money leagues a try this year.

Don't you have to be there in person to draft to be in those leagues?

It's been a while since I paid attention- I think they may a have a few online drafts, and they have sattite leagues if you can't make it to vegas

I'd be down to do it again.  Hopefully I can finally break my streak of first round playoff losses :?

I'd prob be willing to give it a go.  Whatever format, I don't know anything about any of them anyway.

I'll start up the usual WNFF fantasy baseball topic/league soon. If people don't want Head 2 Head I can do the other unless y'all want two leagues going.

Head 2 Head is like Wolverine attacking Sabertooth every week. You get points in certain categories like Runs, RBI's, Home Runs, ERA, Saves, etc etc. I believe Rotissiere uses some form of mathematical equation to average out the points gained in the game that day and it expands on it over a long period of time.

I like the H2H leagues.

Same. I've had a bad experience with the rotisserie one. It seems like after a certain week you stop gaining points.

I was a failure last year.  Setting a roster every day was my downfall, I always forgot.  But I'd like to give it another go.

Roto is just an accumulation of category points over a year. 12 points for coming 1st in a category if you're in a 12 team league, 11 for second and so on and so on.

That sounds kinda boring.
