Big Fan Fest 2013?

I didn't hear it, but have been seeing people talking about this.

On MASN's Nats Talk this a.m., Phil Wood said the Nats are planning a big NatsFest at the conv. center...for 2013. Said Nats Park too small.

Nats Park is not too small, it was just fine the first couple years, the issue is that it costs money to turn on the plumbing in the winter.  The convention center has all of the charm of a warehouse.  What's Nats Fest with no access to the clubhouse, batting cages, and press box?

Heard Charlie and Dave mention this once again in their postgame remarks Friday night.  And Nats Park is too small - if the weather is bad, the Stars and Stripes Club just isn't large enough for all the activities and lines for autographs/photos.  It'd be great to see a real FanFest after two years of basically nothing.  They can do a lot more in a larger venue like the Convention Center.

It would be nice but it's just not that big a deal for me. No way I go if it's at the convention center. The appeal for me has always been the ballpark.
