Do the new 360s have built in wifi?

Also, Move vs Kinect?

Anyone tried Playstation Home lately? How is it these days?

Kinect is superior, but the technology in general has some work to do. Games for it really aren't a whole lot of fun. It's more of a cool thing to try and then you get annoyed

Which means it will be dumbed down. Like they do to all PC games that they want to sell to consoles.

I actually found Torchlight's console version played pretty well with a controller, and it was conceived and designed after the original PC version - direct analog control is certainly less tedious than constantly clicking a mouse.  Considering that Blizzard has planned a console version of D3 from the start, I'd expect it will be just as good as the PC version, matters of personal preference aside.

Now if you mean that the PC version will not be "allowed" to be better than the console version, then I'd probably agree.

I've been playing DC: Universe Online a lot lately... and I could use some help with the terms they use... which I assume is also what most MMORPG's use.

Tank - I assume is the damage taker/dealer that you want the bad guy to focus on?

Control - ?

Healer - ?

Tank - Damage Taker.  This character holds the attention of the mobs (though usually one) that the team is attacking.  More than likely can do little to moderate damage.

Control - Able to control mobs and those that "link" (stroll by and start attacking your party that is already attacking another mob).

Healer - Group healer.  Someone has to keep the tank alive or the damage dealers that pulls the attention of the attacked mob away from the tank.  Every group in every MMORPG needs some sort of healer.  Without one, things just take to damn long with normal healing.

I played DCUO sparingly.  More of a FFXI and WoW guy back in the day.  See my response in quote.

Apparently Microsoft may have to stop selling the 360 due to copyright infringement on their wi-fi tech they may have stole from Motorola.

Only a "movement" with an official decision coming from the ITC... but it's already been banned in Germany.

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/judge-recommends-xbox-360-ban-in-us

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/05/23/xbox-360-sales-ban-for-us-recommended-by-judge

If the International Trade Commission agrees with the original movement, the vote moves on to Obama on whether or not to block its ability to sell due to IP infringement.

lol, Germany.  They're ban-happy lately.

That'll never happen in a million years over here.  That judge sounds like an out-of-touch fringe element.  ITC won't support him.

Arguing that it's not fair to consumers to stop sales.... for a case as to whether or not you stole someone's IP doesn't really seem like a smart legal tactic, though.

What does the consumer losing out have to do with whether or not you stole an IP and passed it off as your own?

I don't think it really matters, these patent squabbles are 99% bullcrap anyway.  Just companies trying to extort more money out of each other.  The 2.25% that Motorola is asking for out of every MS product that utilizes the supposedly infringing technology (something to do with H.264 video decoding) is far, far more than is common compensation for such technologies.

Well all of the past ones, except for GR1 and its expansion/sequel, have all been over-the-shoulder shooters but they've handled pretty much like FPS games. From what I've seen out of GR:FS is that it moves pretty quickly like Socom. I don't know though. I was just hoping it would be. Socom 2-3 were the crap.

I haven't played either as of yet, but they're definitely on my radar. I'll probably buy GR next week.

I wish Redbox had an option where you could rent games for a week for $5... I can't handle the $1 a day for games... but if they did, I would definitely have rented Max Payne by now.

One of my buddies told me that the multiplayer on Max Payne is pretty good.
